Medicines

Psilocybin Ceremony

Psilocybin is a naturally occurring compound found in certain mushrooms and is known as a classic psychedelic. It can bring about profound shifts in perception, mood, and thought, often heightening sensory experience and opening the door to deep introspection and mystical insight.

Today, psilocybin is receiving growing attention for its therapeutic potential in areas such as depression, anxiety, addiction, and end-of-life distress. Research suggests it may help people move beyond rigid patterns, supporting emotional healing and a renewed sense of purpose.

Our approach is grounded in deep respect, reverence, and integrity for these sacred plant medicine teachers.

Onset of action: 20–40 minutes orally

Temazcal Sweat Lodge

Temazcal is a traditional Indigenous sweat lodge ceremony used for purification, renewal, and spiritual connection. Guided by a local facilitator, this dome-shaped ritual symbolizes the womb of Mother Earth. Heated volcanic stones, herbs, and water create steam that supports physical detox, emotional release, and introspection.

Cacao

Cacao is a heart-opening plant medicine rooted in Indigenous Mesoamerican traditions. In ceremony, participants share a warm cacao elixir in an intentional space, supported by breath, movement, and guided meditation to encourage presence, joy, and emotional clarity.

Massage & Rest

Rest is medicine. This week is designed to help you slow down, rejuvenate, and unwind, with time to explore the village and enjoy the surrounding area. Present Moment Retreat Centre also offers bodywork options on site.

Hapé

Hapé is a traditional tobacco-based snuff used in many Indigenous Amazonian cultures. It is known for its grounding qualities and is often used in integration, with effects that may support calm, focus, and centering.

Schedule

The retreat runs from January 30 to February 6, with arrival at 3:00pm on January 30 and checkout at 11:00am on February 6.

• Pricing ranges from $2,400 to $3,800 USD, depending on room selection
• Hosted at Present Moment Retreat Centre in Troncones, Mexico
• Some offerings are available at an additional cost, including horseback riding, surf lessons, Temazcal, and massage
• A comprehensive intake and waiver form will be sent to applicants
• Places are selected on a first-come, first-served basis
• A $500 deposit is required to confirm your spot, with the final balance due two weeks before the retreat begins
• Meal gratuity is not included and will be calculated at checkout based on any additional charges during your stay
• One communal dinner is included; other dinners are not included, though nearby restaurants and Present Moment’s restaurant are available

• Singles: $3,800 ($500 security deposit)
• Doubles: $2,800 ($500 security deposit)
• Triples: $2,400 ($500 security deposit)
• All A/C accommodations include a $200 surcharge
• The master suite includes an $800 surcharge
• All money is refundable except the deposit up to 30 days before the trip
• If the trip is canceled, all money will be refunded
