Based in Vancouver, BC, Michael Oliver is a community builder, psychedelic guide, and the founder of Legacy Journeys. After earning a degree in Cognitive Systems from UBC, he dedicated his work to advancing psychedelics and supporting their responsible growth. In 2020, he co-founded The Flying Sage, a psychedelic community created with the mission of democratizing transcendence. He also spent three years serving as Volunteer Coordinator and Executive Assistant for MAPS Canada, and earlier in his career worked as a lifeguard with the City of Vancouver for five years.
Michael has explored psychedelics for many years and has had the privilege of working with a range of medicines in ceremonial, therapeutic, and recreational settings. From an early age, he recognized their potential as a catalyst for personal growth and saw firsthand how these experiences can support healing, transformation, and deeper connection. Through his facilitation work, he aims to create meaningful experiences for leaders, entrepreneurs, and change makers who are ready to step into greater self-actualization and move forward on a transformative leadership or healing path.
He has signed the North Star Ethics Pledge and is committed to a professional, ethical, and service-oriented approach to the psychedelic field. Michael has also contributed as a member of the ethics committee with the Psychedelic Association of Canada.
