Based in Vancouver, Jonah Ocean is a multi-instrumentalist and singer whose work blends musical skill with a deep spiritual sensitivity. Growing up in a musical family, he has been singing for most of his life, while early exposure to a range of spiritual traditions helped shape the depth and intention behind his sound. He later studied classical and jazz music in college, bringing together technical training and intuitive expression in a way that feels both grounded and expansive.
Before dedicating himself fully to music, Jonah spent six years teaching elementary school music, an experience that strengthened his ability to read a room and create an intimate, responsive atmosphere. Since 2021, he has been offering music for plant medicine ceremonies and has supported more than 50 ceremonies alongside different practitioners. His work is especially suited to healing spaces where presence, sensitivity, and musical depth matter.
