Step into a transformative journey with a carefully structured training designed to deepen your understanding of yoga and support your teaching path. Hosted at Om Shanti Om Yoga Ashram in Rishikesh, this program offers a traditional and practical approach for beginners and intermediate practitioners who want to strengthen their personal practice or begin guiding others.
Rooted in a holistic teaching methodology, the course blends in-depth study, mindful practice, and philosophical insight. Guided by experienced yoga teachers trained in traditional methods, it explores the physical, energetic, and meditative dimensions of Yin Yoga while helping you build confidence, skill, and clarity.
Yin Yoga is inspired by the ancient Taoist understanding of Yin and Yang, the complementary forces that shape both nature and the human experience. In contrast to more active styles, Yin is slow, gentle, and introspective, with postures held for longer periods to encourage stillness, relaxation, and inner awareness.
This approach works deeply into connective tissues such as fascia, ligaments, tendons, and joints. By staying in the poses with minimal muscular effort, practitioners can support flexibility, mobility, and a more balanced flow of energy throughout the body.
At Om Shanti Om Yoga Ashram, Yin Yoga is taught as a blend of asana, pranayama, and meditation. Breath awareness and quiet presence create space for release, reflection, and a more intimate connection with the self. The practice encourages patience, surrender, and acceptance rather than force or perfection.
This short course offers a focused learning experience for those seeking a strong foundation in Yin Yoga. It is thoughtfully designed to support both personal growth and professional development, with teachings that cover philosophy, anatomy, practice, and sequencing.
Monday through Saturday:
Sundays: Self-practice and local exploration.
Across the training, you will study Yin Yoga philosophy, meditation, pranayama, mudras, bandhas, mantra chanting, restorative practice, postural integration, prop use, subtle body anatomy, and yoga sutras. The course is also supported by a serene learning environment that encourages inner balance and focused study.
