Pilates on the mat is a workout focused on body awareness, strength, and stretching, with special attention to the core muscles, including the abdominals, back, and lower back, as well as the glutes, arms, and legs. It uses body weight and may also include accessories such as pilates balls, the magic circle, and elastic bands.
