I have been hosting this for several years now, and it only seems to deepen in richness with time. I remain continually moved by Florence House and the land it sits upon. It is known as “the place where extraordinary things happen,” and I can honestly say I have felt that for myself. Each time I arrive, I sense the presence of the ancestors, and I know I am not alone in that experience.
We come together at a time when life can feel especially full and frantic. Here, we step away from bright lights, cheesy music, and excessive shopping, and instead turn toward candlelight, warmth, and a nurturing space of rest and presence — exactly what winter invites us to do.
Across the weekend, there will be Yoga Nidra, embodied movement, rest practices, restorative breathwork, circle gatherings, fireside connection, and, as always, plenty of delicious soul food. You are warmly invited to do as little or as much as you wish. You may choose to rest in solitude, curl up with a good book, or take a gentle walk to the beach, which is just 10 minutes away. In each moment, the choice is yours.
This retreat is designed to soften the shoulders, steady the breath, relax the jaw, warm the heart, and leave you smiling. I would love for you to join us.
Open to all women and gender queer/GNC folk.

Built in the 1920s and lovingly restored, Florence House is an ideal setting for retreats. It sits within 6 acres of beautiful grounds, and the quiet walled garden offers a peaceful place for meditation and inner reflection.
Inside, the oak-panelled library, dining room, comfortable lounge with a wood-burning stove, and characterful bedrooms create an atmosphere that is both elegant and relaxed. This historic house offers an intimate and comfortable setting, perfectly suited to retreat life.
Each bedroom is unique, with its own gentle theme. Some look out over the sea, while others open onto the rolling hills of the South Downs or private gardens.
Located two hours from London on the brow of Seaford Head in East Sussex, Florence House is beautifully placed for coastal exploration. A path from the house leads into Seven Sisters Country Park, and unspoilt beaches are only a short distance away, making it an ideal base for a variety of stunning walks.
Florence House is also known for its creative, fresh home cooking, prepared by its own chefs. Whenever possible, ingredients are sourced from the garden.
