Mindfulness in speech can be deepened by staying rooted in the body and supported by an open, receptive heart. This daylong retreat includes guided meditation, dharma talks, silent sitting, walking meditation, and structured small-group practice sessions. Together, these practices invite a more direct experience of speaking from embodied awareness and from connection to the citta (heart-mind).
Guidance will focus on how to know, sense, allow, and attune to the citta with compassionate attention. Participants will explore how awareness of the body, paired with a heart that is soft enough to care and respond, can nurture clarity, steadiness, and care in communication.
This retreat offers a chance to strengthen mindfulness, build concentration, practice with the IMC community, and ask questions of the teacher. Beginners and experienced practitioners are both welcome.
Please bring your own lunch.
The program is offered freely and does not require registration. Those who wish to support the teacher or the center may make donations through IMC’s donation page.
