
This 90-minute guided group class is designed to support students as they work through the first series, Yoga Chikitsa, of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. The practice is physically demanding and places emphasis on the most visible elements of the method, including asana, vinyasa, and pranayama. With a steady rhythm and minimal interruptions, the session creates space for focused practice while still allowing for careful corrections and attention to detail.
These adjustments are valuable for building a deeper understanding of alignment, refining habits, and supporting a conscious, safe progression in Ashtanga. Even if you have an athletic background and feel physically ready, it is recommended to begin with Vinyasa Flow classes before joining this led class.
