Our 100-hour Arm Balancing Training in Germany offers a focused and supportive setting for yogis who want to deepen both their understanding and their skill in arm balances. Guided by experienced teachers, this immersive retreat is designed to help you build confidence, strength, and trust in your body’s intelligence through steady, dedicated practice.
Balancing your body weight on your hands asks for courage, patience, and commitment. As your practice develops, you may notice a meaningful shift: greater self-assurance, stronger concentration, and a deeper connection to your inner wisdom.
Arm balance poses call for two essential qualities: focus and concentration. Progress depends on your ability to stay present. When the mind drifts, stability can disappear just as quickly. That quality of presence is central not only to these postures, but to yoga as a whole.
This 100-hour course is ideal for anyone ready to explore new physical and mental challenges:
This course is part of the Yoga Alliance YACEP programme, and the 100 hours can be added to your continuing education hours.
Step by step, we will prepare your body for more advanced postures, strengthen your confidence, and inspire your practice.
Arm balancing asanas are practiced daily. In the asana lab, you will learn how to warm up the entire body for a safe practice. This includes warm-up asanas for the hands, shoulders, spine, core, legs, and full body. You will also practice different kinds of Indian push-ups to build strength progressively and prepare for more advanced arm balances.

The theory sessions revisit Patanjali’s Ashtanga Yoga, the eightfold path that forms the foundation of a yogic lifestyle. While asana practice supports strength and flexibility, its deeper purpose is to prepare the body for comfortable, extended meditation.
We also explore the bandhas, which help lift and retain prana within the body to create greater stability, as well as mudras, which support prana control, increase hand dexterity and strength, and harmonize the elements within.
Practicing arm balances safely and efficiently requires a solid understanding of the skeletal and muscular systems, as well as core and spine anatomy. Special attention is given to the hands, wrists, elbows, and shoulders. As your understanding of alignment deepens, you may find that postures once thought difficult become more accessible.
