Laura Bell’s path into yoga began in dramatic fashion in Australia 11 years ago, when she was thrown from a boat and landed with a broken back. After three months of rehabilitation, she was advised that running was no longer an option, but yoga could support her recovery and help keep her back pain free. Training with David Swenson in Ashtanga yoga opened the door to a new way of living, and her practice has continued to evolve ever since.
Over the years, she has completed a range of further trainings and holds qualifications in Blissology yoga, children’s yoga, pregnancy and postnatal yoga, as well as Swedish full body massage. Her teaching is known for being warm, personal, and friendly, with dynamic sequences designed to both energize and challenge the body. Vipassana meditation has also shaped a more spiritual dimension to her practice, which she weaves into her teaching on and off the mat.
Laura has been facilitating retreats for 15 years and loves creating space for like-minded people to come together. Since becoming a mother of three, she has stepped back from hosting, while continuing to guide Zest Life in a positive direction for everyone to enjoy.
