This retreat in Sweden invites you to step out of your usual pace and into a simpler way of being — one that feels deeper, lighter, and more alive.
Each morning begins without hurry, with movement that helps you ease into the day. There is the invigorating clarity of cold water, the soothing warmth of the sauna, and the quiet pleasure of spending time outdoors.
Across the days, you’ll enjoy gentle adventure: guided cold water swims, kayaking between islands, walking coastal trails, and breathing in the fresh open air. There is also space to rest, unwind in the sauna, or simply enjoy the stillness.
Meals are nourishing, the rhythm is relaxed, and every detail is thoughtfully arranged in the Zest Life way.
Little by little, you may feel your nervous system settle and a more grounded version of yourself return.
This retreat may be right for you if:
Set on a secluded island, the retreat offers dedicated accommodation in a mix of cottages, with comfortable, thoughtfully designed rooms close to the water and surrounded by nature. Each space provides a peaceful place to rest. There is also a private dining area for shared meals and a fully equipped yoga space with serene sea views.
Take part in a guided swimming experience designed to help you enter the water with confidence while exploring some of the archipelago’s most secluded swim spots.
Enjoy a kayak day trip along the Stockholm Archipelago Trail, a network of paddling routes that winds through this remarkable landscape. Move between islands and pause at natural harbours, cliffs, and quiet sandy beaches along the way.
There is also a hike along the Stockholm Archipelago Trail, with time to take in the scenery, stop by the water for a picnic, and settle into the rhythm of island life.
Visit the beautiful island of Bullerö, located at the heart of the new national park in Nämdöskärgården. This fully guided excursion offers insight into local culture, history, and life in the archipelago.
Open to all levels, each day includes a morning vinyasa flow to gently awaken the body and an evening restorative session to help you unwind.
The yoga is led by Zest Life founder Laura Bell, who brings more than 20 years of teaching experience. Rooted in Ashtanga, her approach has developed into a fluid vinyasa style that builds strength, creates space in the body, and supports a grounded, present state of mind. You are always guided and supported, never pushed.
Overlooking the sea and tucked among the trees, the on-site sauna becomes a place to slow down and fully let go. Each afternoon you return for a private sauna session — a welcome warmth after the cold water, inviting the body to soften, the breath to deepen, and the whole system to reset.
The retreat includes a plant-based menu created to support recovery and nourish your body after each day. To ensure the highest standard, Zest Life chef Kimberly Parsons will join the retreat in Sweden to prepare fresh, seasonal meals that are both delicious and energising. Expect vibrant dishes that refuel you after time outdoors. All retreats are alcohol-free, and all meals are included.
