Born in Norfolk, Julie began her holistic path in 1994 with studies in Therapeutic Massage and Anatomy and Physiology through the Association of Natural Medicine. She no longer offers massage as a therapy, but this early training laid the foundation for her lifelong work in healing.
In 1995, she trained in Aromatherapy with the International Institute of Health and Holistic Therapies, exploring the healing benefits of essential oils. A year later, she studied Reflexology with ICHT and was fascinated by the way the body is reflected through the feet.
In January 2000, Julie began a two-year Crystal Healing course with the Spiritual Venturers Association. This period marked a profound journey of self-discovery and personal transformation. While completing that training in 2002, she was introduced to EIP work by her tutor, Lisa Ireson, and naturally moved into this field as well.
Her studies continued with Eip of DNA in 2002, followed by Masters Rapid Healing in 2003, Advanced Masters Rapid Healing in 2004, Ancients Secrets of Manifestation in 2004, Holographic Healing in 2005, Doorway to the Sacred Heart – Advanced Crystal Healing in 2005, and Evolved Soul Healing – Advanced Crystal Healing in 2005.
Julie built a successful practice in Norfolk until 2003, when she moved to France to continue her work and lead holiday therapy workshops. In September 2006, she returned to Norwich to re-establish her practice.
In 2010, she completed Manicure and Pedicure training, having come to appreciate the value of beauty treatments as part of deep relaxation and nurturing care. In 2012, she trained in Gua Sha through Traditional Chinese Medicine and found that this therapy significantly changed the way she worked with massage, offering long-term benefits and supporting the body’s natural healing response.
Also in 2012, Julie completed Level 2 Counselling Skills in a psycho-spiritual context, strengthening both her personal development and her ability to support clients more deeply. In 2013, she trained in Usui Reiki Level I and II, and in January 2015 she became a Usui Reiki Master. That same month, she also attended a mindfulness course, feeling that mindfulness and Reiki naturally complement one another.
During 2015, Julie’s clairvoyant abilities strengthened and she began offering readings. She also taught Reiki Levels 1 and 2 and hosted Angel Reading workshops. In 2017, she began teaching at Master level and held Tarot card reading workshops throughout the year, alongside clairvoyance audiences.
In 2018, she started teaching Crystal Healing to practitioner level and held Spirit & Destiny evenings with larger groups alongside her co-host Jackie Hewitt. In 2020, she became a Sound Healing & Therapy Practitioner, expanded her Gong Baths to five venues each month, and began teaching Gong Practitioner Level and Auricfield Tuning.
In 2023, Julie and Jae created The Complete Sound Practitioner Course, designed to bring sound into everyday life in an accessible way for 1 to 1 sessions, Sound Baths, and self-healing. Her Healing Pod was also built in her garden, offering clients a unique experience surrounded by a log-style cabin, pyramid, sound, crystals, and creativity.
In 2024, work began on Ascension Retreats, fulfilling a long-held dream of bringing groups together to share spiritual practice at Sco Ruston Hall, a beautifully renovated local venue. Julie and Jae also launched regular Spiritual Workshops and began hosting Floating Sound Baths in Norfolk in October, using High Mill Pool in Ludham. These events proved so popular that they were booked before the printed adverts were ready. They are planned to run bi-monthly to keep them special.
Julie believes we all carry the knowledge to heal ourselves. We may simply have forgotten it, but by reawakening this ability, we can once again take control of our own destinies.
