Complete residential training (Level 1+2)
Talalla Beach, Sri Lanka
This training takes place at Talalla Retreat on Sri Lanka’s south coast, a beachfront resort set on a secluded cove of turquoise water, golden sand, and memorable sunrises. The 7-acre sustainable property features an outdoor freshwater pool, an open-air yoga shala, an Ayurvedic spa, and a gourmet open-air restaurant. Accommodation includes elegant open-air fan rooms and enclosed air-conditioned rooms, all with marble bathrooms, private patios, and views of the tropical gardens or the Indian Ocean. The retreat follows a sustainable food philosophy, sourcing local ingredients and produce from nearby markets and fishing villages, with many herbs and spices grown organically on site. Brunch is included in the training price and offers a full buffet of Western and Sri Lankan dishes. Snacks and dinner are not included, and participants may choose à la carte dinner at Talalla or dine at nearby local eateries according to their own preferences.
Paleochora, Crete
The course is held in Paleochora on the southern coast of Crete, Greece. Known as the gateway to the Libyan Sea, Crete is the largest and southernmost Greek island, with a summer season that lasts for more than five months. Paleochora is one of the most scenic towns in the Chania prefecture, appreciated for its warm climate, welcoming atmosphere, and excellent local cuisine. Set on a small peninsula between two beautiful beaches, it lies about 75 km from Chania.
The training venue is an eco-cottage retreat and seminar center located between Paleochora and the traditional village of Anydri. It is only a short drive from some of the island’s most pristine beaches and from the town itself. Accommodation is available in double and triple rooms, with a limited number of single rooms and tent spaces on request.
Food is not included, giving students the freedom to eat according to their own needs and preferences. Two fully equipped kitchens are available, one for every three rooms, for storing food and preparing brunch and simple meals. In the village, students will find large grocery stores, supermarkets, and many beachside taverns serving fresh local dishes. Vegetarian and vegan options are widely available, including a dedicated vegetarian restaurant in town.
The venue offers two yoga spaces for the training: a peaceful outdoor platform surrounded by nature and a quiet indoor practice room.
Modern life often keeps the nervous system in a constant state of tension. In Taoist philosophy, this active, outward-moving quality is known as yang, and our yoga practices have become increasingly yang as well. Yin Yoga offers a much-needed counterbalance, helping restore harmony where excessive activity has created imbalance in the physical, emotional, and mental body.
Drawing from Indian Hatha Yoga and Taoist yin-yang philosophy, Yin Yoga supports wellbeing by balancing the passive and active, the calming and the stimulating. Yin Resonance® expands this approach through sound vibration, using vocal, acoustic, and/or machine-generated sound during long-held Yin postures. This deeply meditative and healing practice enhances the effects of Yin Yoga through the principles of resonance, entrainment, and intention, helping tune the body-mind back into harmony.
"The knower of the mystery of sound knows the mystery of the whole universe."
