Usui Reiki Master Retreat with Gwen

Known as the Mystery Teachings, this practice-focused Reiki Master course continues the inward path toward discovering the true spiritual self through a deeper study of Mikao Usui’s original teachings and the traditional methods of Reiki.

Participants will explore the original purpose behind the techniques, meditations, principles, and symbols. They will also learn how to work with the fourth and final Reiki symbol, as well as how to attune others to Reiki.

This level is designed for Reiki Practitioners who have completed Reiki Levels 1 and 2 and, ideally, have been using Reiki regularly for several months. If you have trained with another Reiki Master, please scan and email copies of your Reiki certificates to

The training is delivered as part of a retreat, giving you the chance to fully absorb the teachings without the distractions of everyday life. There will be plenty of time for practice, questions, discussion, and additional activities, including meditations, exploration of various energy tools, socialising, and discovering the beauty of the local area.

Once certified, you will be able to practice Reiki more intuitively and teach Reiki to others. That said, teaching is not required; you may simply view the course as another meaningful step on your spiritual journey. It is completely fine to join with the intention of deepening your understanding of Reiki.

After the course, you will be able to attend and assist at MSB Reiki Shares, where you can apply what you have learned and continue developing your skills.

Course Times

The Reiki Master Retreat runs over 5 consecutive days, allowing for complete immersion in both the teachings and practice sessions. The schedule typically runs from 8.30am to 6.00pm, with a later start on the first day and an earlier finish on the last day to accommodate arrival and departure.

• Review of Reiki Levels 1 and 2
• A deeper exploration of the traditions and spirituality of the Usui Reiki Ryoho teachings
• Learning the Reiki Master Symbol and how to use it
• Learning how to treat specific diseases, illnesses, and emotional states
• Practice of treatments from Mikao Usui’s original handbook
• Practice of treatments from Chijuro Hayashi’s Reiki Manual
• Work with the Japanese Tandem Chakra System
• 1 attunement
• Practice of Group Reiki methods
• Practice of various Reiki meditation techniques
• Daily morning meditations
• Learning how to attune others to Reiki 1 and Reiki 2
• Understanding Reiki and the power of the subconscious mind
• Further insight into the history of Usui Reiki, including the lives of Mikao Usui, Mrs Takata, and Dr Hayashi
• Instructions on how to establish your practice and how to teach others
