Traditional Tantra Workshop

A TANTRIC SADHANA RETREAT

Held during the auspicious festival of Navaratri, these meditation retreats offer an authentic introduction to Traditional Tantra sadhana. This is a time in the seasonal cycle when the energy of Shakti is considered especially accessible and supportive for meditation.

During the retreat, participants are invited into a deep Tantric immersion that includes the creation of a live Yantra of the divine feminine, expressed through one of the Maha Vidyas of Tantra. Supported by the energy of the group, you will meditate for three hours each day with a specific mantra connected to this energy. These practices come from the Shivoham Tantra lineage.

Alongside this path, Yorgos also leads a meditation study based on the Vignan Bhairav Tantra. You will be taught 10 additional meditation techniques from this ancient text, presented as tools for concentration and explored across different categories so each person can find the method best suited to their typology.

This kind of study can be deeply supportive for spiritual growth, whether you are a practitioner or a teacher. The Vignan Bhairav Tantra is a sacred Kashmir Shaivism text and a practical guide containing 112 techniques designed to reveal consciousness within.

The retreat takes place on the east side of Mount Olympus in Greece, overlooking the Aegean Sea. The setting is remote, peaceful, and surrounded by remarkable natural beauty, with plenty of walks to enjoy during the breaks.

Yorgos is an experienced meditation teacher who offers individual support throughout the retreat schedule and process, adjusting the approach as needed for each participant. He is joined by Charlotte, who leads the yoga classes and brings a feminine presence to the group. She also shares devotional songs and offers dedicated support to these ancient practices.

YANTRA & MANTRA

A Yantra is a geometric design that holds the energy of the divine in both the astral and physical planes. Its patterns symbolize different aspects of universal forces. The central point represents the infinite beyond form, while the four gates around the edge represent the four directions. For Navaratri, seeds are planted in the earth so the Goddess’s energy can grow, just like the small plants.

In Tantra, mantra is the sound vibration of the specific energy being worked with. During Navaratri, this is always an aspect of the divine feminine. Repeating her mantra alongside the Yantra helps build this beneficial frequency within, supporting purification and the embodiment of divine energy.

VENUE

The retreats are hosted in the Mount Olympus region of Greece, in a beautiful venue 800 meters above sea level with sweeping sunrise views over the Aegean Sea and untouched landscapes. Set in a small, quiet village, the traditional Greek building has been modernized while still retaining its character, and the surrounding area offers beautiful walks.

Mount Olympus is known for its unique flora and fauna, including more than 17,000 plant species, which make up roughly one third of Greece’s flora. All drinking and bathing water comes from natural springs. Surrounded by forests and mountain views that open toward the sea, the venue provides the setting for daily yoga, study, and restorative time in nature.

TRAVEL SUPPORT

The nearest airport is Thessaloniki (SKG), and the closest village is Leptokarya, which is easy to reach by train or bus from Thessaloniki and Athens. Travel time from Thessaloniki is about 1 hour, while the journey from Athens takes around 4 hours depending on waiting times.

Train connections are excellent: direct from Thessaloniki, and with a change at Larisa station when traveling from Athens. Buses are also reliable, affordable, and comfortable, with direct service from Athens and a change at Katerini bus station from Thessaloniki.

From Leptokarya, the venue is a 30-minute taxi ride up the mountain pass. Guests may also book a direct taxi from Thessaloniki airport for 130 euros.

A WhatsApp group is created so participants can coordinate travel plans, and guidance is available to help make the journey safe and smooth.

PAYMENTS & CANCELLATION

A deposit of €250 is required to reserve your place in the retreat. In some situations, the deposit can be transferred to another course, though deposits paid through third-party platforms are non-refundable.

The second payment is due one month before the retreat, although it may also be paid in cash on arrival if preferred. The final balance is paid directly to the venue on arrival, by bank transfer, card, or cash.

MEET YOUR TEACHERS

Yorgos Aryavrat
Yorgos began meditating at the age of seventeen and has since devoted himself to spiritual practice, deepening his studies in Orthodox mysticism and Gnostic Christianity. On his path of awareness, he has always been drawn more to direct experience and inner understanding than to intellectual study alone. He was initiated into the Kriya Yoga lineage and its practices, which enriched and expanded his earlier experience.

As an initiated teacher of Shivoham Tantra, Yorgos dedicates himself to leading in-depth meditation retreats with a calm, grounded presence that helps people feel at home.

Radasi Aryavrat
Radasi lives in close connection with pristine nature and sacred inspiration. A seasoned tantric practitioner, she brings 28 years of yogic exploration into the way she teaches and lives.

Yoga, Traditional Tantra, meditation, ritual, holistic living, and mental health awareness come together in her path as one way of revealing her deepest nature and the natural state of presence.

She has been teaching Hatha Kundalini Yoga and Tantra since 2007 and also serves as a counsellor and spiritual guide, offering a warm, loving, and practical presence.
