Come experience the sacred energy and striking beauty of Sedona, Arizona. We stay at a center called Transformation, and that spirit of growth and renewal shapes the entire retreat.
Theme: Finding Balance
Are you ready for transformation? Balance is at the heart of this experience, and we will explore it in many forms: physical and spiritual, healthy eating without fear or rigidity, movement without punishing exercise, community and solitude, work and play, and the balance between “God and Bod.”
The price includes 6 nights of beautiful accommodations at the Transformation Retreat Center, most meals (about 14 meals), yoga, meditation, guided hikes, vortex visits, creek swimming, and additional outings. Shuttle transportation is included for all guided hikes, as well as transfers to and from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport, provided you arrive in Phoenix by 11am on Sunday and depart no earlier than 2pm on Saturday. If you do not have a roommate, we will match you with someone compatible. You will be staying in the heart of Sedona, Arizona.
Teachers and Hike Guides
Roy Holman and Liz Gross will lead the yoga, hikes, and other activities, and they will also prepare the delicious, healthy, mostly organic meals. Roy has led more than 120 retreats in Washington, Mexico, Guatemala, Hawaii, Bali, and Costa Rica. Liz joined him in 2014 and has co-led about 75 retreats. This is their 22nd year in Sedona, so they know the best hikes, vortexes, sites, and restaurants. Roy is trained at the 500-hour level in Viniyoga, a breath-connected, body-friendly, heart-centered, meditative flow yoga. This retreat is suitable for all yoga and hiking levels. Liz is a yoga teacher and gifted vibrational energy healer.
Meals
Most meals are included, usually two or three each day. Breakfasts are healthy and mostly organic, with a generous buffet that typically includes oatmeal, eggs, granola, cereal, nuts, seeds, nut butters, breads, dairy and non-dairy milks, fresh fruit, flax, hemp, coffee, tea, and more. We make sure dietary needs are met. We also prepare most lunches and three or four home-cooked dinners. For other meals, we may dine out or give you the option to prepare your own food at the retreat center. We know the best local places to eat, often including Thai, gourmet Mexican, and classic Sedona health food. Please note that we are happy to accommodate allergies and specific diets, but we ask that requested meals remain consistent once arranged.

Travel, Hiking, and Policies
Please contact us before booking flights. Some guests arrive a day early or leave later, which is fine. If you plan to use the shared van, your flight must arrive by 11am on Sunday, April 11, and your return flight should not be earlier than 2pm. Separate shuttle service is available at about $80 each way. Please travel light, as van space is limited; carry-on size is preferred. Laundry facilities are available at the retreat center. If you need to bring a large bag, please ask in advance; an extra fee of $50 applies for bags larger than 17 x 24 inches or over 40 pounds.
We ask guests to trust our experience on the hikes. Paces and abilities vary, and while we do our best to support everyone, this is a retreat with at least one hike a day. Most hikes are manageable, though some guests may be asked to shorten a hike or skip one if needed.
All are welcome. We do not discriminate for any reason, and we encourage each person to care for their own wellbeing and decide whether this trip is right for them. We request a $500 deposit, with the balance due 30 days before the trip. The deposit is generally nonrefundable. Later payments may be partially refunded depending on the timing of cancellation and the retreat center’s policy. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.
