Welcome to our first yoga retreat in Kauai. We have hosted one retreat on Maui in years past, along with more than 100 other trips around the world, but this will be our first journey to Kauai. We are envisioning a beautiful blend of yoga, meditation, hiking, beach time, snorkeling, healthy delicious food, and more. With a group of about 17, this retreat is expected to fill quickly, so please do not delay.
Like the other Hawaiian islands, Kauai is stunning, but it is also smaller, lush, unpretentious, and welcoming. Many people consider it the third eye chakra of the islands, a place of clear seeing—and that feels especially meaningful right now. Expect yoga, meditation, healing, snorkeling, swimming, hiking, and plenty of sunshine. Depending on room selection, the price includes 7 nights at the hotel, 2 meals per day, fresh coffee and tea, all ground transportation on the island, snorkeling trips, guided hiking, and all classes and workshops. Roy Holman and Liz Gross will guide heart-centered, breath-connected, body-friendly yoga and meditation. Please fly into Lihue Airport on Kauai.
Some of us rarely pause to focus on growth or healing. Others may concentrate on only one area—often God or body. In that way, some people feel everything is about the physical self, while others focus on spiritual life, mental health, or emotional health. We believe all of these matter. Together, we will explore alignment with the Divine, Source, or God while also tending to physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
Select your room at the bottom of the page. We will stay directly on Anahola Beach near the northwest shore, about 40 minutes from the airport. The retreat center includes at least 6 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, 4 washers and dryers, a large kitchen with a refrigerator, and additional mini-fridges in every bedroom. Outdoor amenities include a BBQ area and beach equipment such as 2 kayaks, 6 surfboards, 8 boogie boards, snorkeling gear, beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, and more.
Expect heart-centered, breath-connected yoga for every body. Roy Holman is 500-hour trained in viniyoga and has taught yoga and meditation since 2000. His classes are heartfelt, breath-centered, and meditative. He is also certified in meditation, reflexology, hands-on energy healing, HeartMath, and other healing arts. Liz Gross will also teach her meditative yoga and, as an optional side offering, share her healing gifts. She is an excellent cook, and together with Roy, she will prepare healthy, delicious meals, with two meals a day included. Please see details on the style of yoga on the instructor page.
The whales should be around! Mornings and/or sunsets may include yoga, healing workshops, snorkeling, swimming, hikes, ocean wildlife viewing, and other options. Lihue Airport is the main airport on Kauai and receives both overseas and inter-island flights. This is where we will arrive and depart. Shuttles are included when possible, if you arrive at reasonable times, and will be arranged to and from the hotel.
All of the following is included in your fee:
Please provide your first and second choices.
We aim to keep pricing affordable, though Kauai is unfortunately expensive, and we chose to splurge on a place right on the beach.
