Mindfulness meditation, also called insight meditation or vipassana, is a straightforward practice that steadies the mind while encouraging clarity and calm. At its core is moment-to-moment observation, fostering a clear, stable, and non-judgmental awareness. This practice can help ease the pressures of daily life, and it also serves as a spiritual path that gradually removes the barriers to the full expression of wisdom and compassion.
In this introductory course, the basic instructions in mindfulness meditation will be taught step by step, beginning with mindfulness of breathing and continuing with awareness of the body, emotions, and thinking, as well as how to bring mindfulness into daily life.
The program is offered freely, with no registration needed. Donations to the teacher or the center are welcome.
