Dao Yoga

Description
Tao Yoga combines hatha, vinyasa and yin yoga, breathing practice and meditation. Particular attention is paid to the correct alignment of the body and breathing.
Asanas provide individual guidance and correction. Physical practice is interwoven with knowledge of the physiology of the body, the benefits of postures and mind control. The class is adapted to the level and needs of the group. Each class is a small experiential journey deeper into the self.
The practice aims to holistically move the whole body, especially problem areas - opening the chest, mobilising the hips, taking tension off the back and shoulders, activating digestion. In addition, each class has its own theme at a physical and more subtle level. For example, in a class that focuses on balance, we focus more on strengthening the abdomen and back, and on breathing to calm the mind. In the hip practice, we focus on hip opening, rotation, mobilisation, stretching of the lower abdomen and back, and breathing that moves the stagnant energy in the lower abdomen. We also do more subtle exercises to release the energy tension that has built up in this area - fears, unhealed emotions.
