Styles of Yoga Classes
Hatha Yoga: A practice that uses postures and breathwork to balance energy in the body. It emphasizes alignment, effort, and relaxation while encouraging you to explore personal limits and move beyond self-imposed boundaries.
Vinyasa Yoga: A dynamic style in which breath and movement are synchronized, with each posture flowing into the next. This is an active and athletic form of yoga.
Yin Yoga: A quiet and meditative practice that focuses on connective tissues and complements more vigorous classes. Poses are passive and typically held for three to five minutes.
Restorative / Therapeutic Yoga: A deeply restful style that uses props such as blankets, chairs, and bolsters to fully support the body. It is ideal for those who are injured, stressed, ill, or simply in need of recovery and renewal.
Kundalini Yoga: An energetic and subtly challenging practice that prepares the body for energetic awakening through breathing exercises, repetitive movement, and a meditative state of mind.
Beach Yoga: When weather allows, weekly beach yoga offers a peaceful way to practice with mats provided, keeping your own mat clean and sand-free.
Meditation: Evening classes include a variety of meditation techniques, including yoga nidra, mindfulness, witnessing, mantras, mudras, mandalas, sound showers, asanas, and pranayama, all designed to support concentration and single-point focus.
