Ashtanga Yoga Mysore Style

In this traditional Mysore-style format, Ashtanga Yoga is taught in the classic way preserved in Mysore, India, where the lineage of K. Pattabhi Jois has maintained the practice for more than 60 years. The session is especially suited to practitioners who already know the Primary Series, though beginners who are familiar with the method are also welcome to join.

Rather than following a led class with general instructions, each student practices at their own pace within a 90-minute window and receives individual guidance from the teacher. Postures are introduced one by one until they are memorized, supporting a gradual path toward independent practice. With a strong focus on hands-on adjustment, personal attention, and self-responsibility, this approach helps deepen understanding while encouraging confidence and consistency on the mat.
