Join a 14-day, 13-night transformational journey designed to help you release old patterns, limiting programs, and past pain while stepping into a more conscious and elevated version of yourself.
This retreat offers a dynamic and holistic experience guided by three professionals. The program brings together yoga, physical exercise, breathwork, spiritual awakening, meditation, psycho-sensory practices, movement explorations with live music, sound baths, a cacao ceremony, and dance. It also includes an excursion, bodysurfing, and individual Ayurvedic treatments, which are available at an additional cost.
Set within the beautiful grounds of BAVA Beach Resort & Retreat Center at Varkala Beach Cliff, the retreat follows a two-track approach:
Varkala, located on Kerala’s breathtaking coastline, is a hidden gem where natural beauty, spiritual calm, and cultural depth come together. Famous for its dramatic cliffs above the Arabian Sea, it invites you to unwind on pristine beaches, enjoy unforgettable sunsets, and restore yourself at its renowned Ayurveda centers. Whether you are drawn to adventure, relaxation, or local traditions, Varkala offers a memorable experience that calls many travelers back again.
Investment for the 14-day retreat: Your investment includes accommodation at the resort, two meals per day, the spiritual program with Ivan Bava, the energetic and music program with Sabio Janiak, yoga with Sai Naresh, group transfer from Thiruvananthapuram airport to Varkala and back, and an excursion whose destination depends on weather conditions. Airfare is not included.
Accommodation: BAVA Beach Resort & Retreat Center is our tropical home. Named after the program leader, it is primarily designed to host groups during the winter months, when Europe is cold and warm sunshine feels especially welcome. The resort is located on Varkala North Cliff, above the sea and sandy beach, in a peaceful green oasis filled with giant bamboos, majestic trees, palms, and flowers, yet only a short walk from restaurants, bars, and Arabian Sea sunset views. Guests may choose from several room types across two buildings: Lalitha Retreat Center and BAVA Luxury AC Rooms.
Food for Body & Mind: Since body and mind are one psycho-physical unit, everything you eat nourishes the mind as well. During this retreat, the intention is to keep the mind as pure as possible and create the conditions for lasting change. The meals combine European and Indian breakfast options with a traditional South Indian main meal adapted to a western non-spice taste. All dishes are sattvic, supporting balance, lightness, clarity, and peace. Meat, fish, and eggs are excluded, while fresh fruit, vegetables, whole grains, dairy, legumes, nuts, and seeds are included. Vegan options are available.
What's Included:
What's Not Included:
Yoga, breathwork, meditation, and Ayurveda: The retreat also includes an authentic approach to Ashtanga yoga, with creative and intelligent sequencing, bandhas, drishti, and proper alignment. Hatha yoga is taught with an emphasis on balance, stability, flexibility, strength, and learning to relax within the pose rather than forcing it. Pranayama practices explore the science of conscious breathing, while meditation supports inner concentration and the path of purification described in classical yoga. Ayurveda, with its 5,000-year history in India, continues to guide healing, prevention, and health care through principles rooted in the five elements.
