Ashtanga Vinyasa, commonly known as Ashtanga, is a dynamic and highly structured style of yoga built around a fixed sequence of asanas synchronized with breath and movement. Developed in the 20th century by Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, it is rooted in the ancient teachings of Yoga Kurunta and inspired by the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.
As one of the key foundations behind many modern vinyasa, power, and flow styles, this practice offers both discipline and depth.
If you are ready to strengthen your practice, explore your potential, and work toward becoming a certified Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga instructor, join this 100-hour training in Germany. The course is part of Yoga Alliance’s YACEP program, so the 100 hours can be added to your continuing education hours.
Here, you will find a space where movement, pranayama, and meditation support a genuine sense of happiness.
Our aim is to guide you on a spiritual path, helping you connect with your inner self and cultivate peace and contentment in daily life.
We value kindness, honesty, and community more than profit.
With small groups, each student receives individual support.
Many of our previous students have left feeling confident to teach after completing the training.
By joining us, you support a family business, and the owners are also your teachers.
We live yoga, believe yoga is for everyone, and honor its culture and origins.
You will learn from a descendant of the Sage Atri bloodline.
We are not perfect, but we always do our best.
During the training, you will explore the essence of Ashtanga Vinyasa, its history, philosophy, and guiding principles. Special attention is given to Tristhana — breath, asana, and drishti — which requires strong concentration and helps quiet the mind.
The course is designed to give you the tools needed for your own Ashtanga practice and for teaching safe Ashtanga Vinyasa classes.
The training covers the Primary Series. Each morning, you will practice the Primary Series and be introduced to the art of teaching Ashtanga Vinyasa. You will learn the importance of Ujjayi breath, Vinyasa flow with jumping back and forward, Chakrasana (rollback), and how to move from Hasta Uttanasana into Urdhva Dhanurasana and back to standing.
We will break down the Primary Series in detail, including the order of the poses, alignment, verbal and physical adjustments, and modifications.

The theory part begins with the history and origin of Ashtanga Vinyasa. You will also study Patanjali’s Ashtanga Yoga, the role of Prana, and different techniques for working with energy. In addition, chakras, bandhas, drishtis, kriyas, and mudras are included in the theory sessions.
Understanding how practice affects the body, and how anatomy influences movement, is an important part of the training. Topics include hip and spine anatomy, arm and shoulder anatomy, and anatomical patterns in forward bends, twists, and backbends.
You will learn two teaching formats for Ashtanga Vinyasa: Mysore style and Led classes. Both styles will be practiced and taught during the training. Additional topics include the opening and closing mantras, counting in Sanskrit, the names of the asanas, tips for jumping back and forward into seated postures, and the Tristhana of Ashtanga Vinyasa.
