Teri Butson

Teri Butson discovered yoga later in life, beginning her practice in her early 50s in Lancaster, PA. After a 36-year career teaching elementary school and retiring in 2009, she chose to deepen her path through a 200-hour yoga certification with Evolution Power Yoga and Lisa Taylor in 2010. Her studies continued at Kripalu, where she completed a Chair Yoga certification with Laksmi Volker and the Get Fit Where You Sit program in 2011. Teaching Chair Yoga soon became her passion.

During the pandemic, Teri expanded her training with a 500-hour certification through Create Karma and Sara Gingrich in 2021, followed by her AYAMA certification with Yogi Aaron. Guided by compassion and care, she aims to foster community while creating a supportive, safe space for freedom, challenge, and personal growth.
