Reclaim your body, redefine what feels possible, and rediscover the power of community.
This is not a typical retreat. It is an invitation to move toward a pain-free way of living and to experience the body as it was designed to function at its best. Surrounded by like-minded participants, you will explore mobility in a supportive setting where movement becomes a source of healing and renewal.
As 2026 comes to a close, set aside seven days for meaningful transformation. Limits begin to soften, new possibilities emerge, and what once felt like separation gives way to connection. In this shared space, strangers become a compassionate community.
Guided by renowned teacher Yogi Aaron and AYAMA-certified instructor Teri, you will step into a practice that blends ancient wisdom with modern anatomy. Their approach supports the body’s natural capacity for strength, freedom, and pain-free living.
This immersion is designed for two kinds of seekers: those ready to move beyond physical restrictions, and yoga teachers who want a deeper understanding of therapeutic movement and the body they teach. Through daily AYAMA practice, anatomical exploration, and quiet year-end reflection, you will be invited to look beyond surface limitations and into the deeper roots of healing.
Set within Blue Osa’s pristine rainforest sanctuary, the experience is enriched by farm-to-table cuisine and a compassionate environment created for both freedom and challenge. It is a space to learn, reflect, and restore yourself while closing out the year with intention.

About Your Instructor
Yogi Aaron
With more than 30 years of practice and teaching, Yogi Aaron is known for his adventurous spirit and groundbreaking approach to yoga. He is the author of Stop Stretching! and the owner of Blue Osa Yoga Retreat & Spa in Costa Rica. His own journey from the possibility of spinal fusion surgery to the discovery of a method that relieved his chronic pain reflects the freedom and renewal at the heart of this retreat.
As the creator of AYAMA™ (Applied Yoga Anatomy + Muscle Activation), Aaron emphasizes activating muscles rather than stretching them, helping build lasting strength and mobility. With humor, warmth, and courage, he invites students to “liberate the old and invite the new.”
Teri Butson
Teri came to yoga later in life, beginning her practice in her early 50s in Lancaster, PA. After 36 years as an elementary school teacher and retirement in 2009, she completed her 200-hour yoga certification in 2010, followed by a Chair Yoga certification at Kripalu in 2011. Teaching Chair Yoga became her passion, and during the pandemic she earned her 500-hour certification in 2021.
After discovering Yogi Aaron through the Yoga Alliance website while seeking continuing education credits, she completed her AYAMA certification. Her goal is to inspire community and support a compassionate, safe environment for freedom, challenge, and personal growth.
