
Sheila is an ERYT 500 and YACEP-certified teacher through Yoga Alliance, with training from Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health and more than 20 years of experience in both practice and teaching. In 2011, she founded Blue Lotus Yoga, LLC, which operated in two physical locations in Johns Creek and Duluth, GA. Through Blue Lotus, she also launched a comprehensive online studio platform and created Sweet Tea Yoga Festival in Alpharetta, GA.
A published author, Sheila served as Yoga Editor for Natural Awakenings Atlanta Magazine from 2019 to 2021. She currently owns and operates SEEK Yoga and Travel, a full-service yoga platform designed to support students and seekers in deepening consciousness, building connection, and living with joyful embodiment.
Sheila holds additional certifications in meditation, yin yoga, Thai yoga, bodywork, and Yoga Nidra, and has trained with dozens of internationally known yoga and meditation teachers. She leads 200- and 300-hour yoga teacher training, hosts retreats and workshops in the U.S. and abroad, and offers spiritual and professional coaching.
As a former professor of American literature, Sheila brings a thoughtful appreciation for the meeting point of philosophy, poetry, religion, nature, and yoga. She continues to pursue learning whenever possible and always considers herself a student of this ancient and beautiful practice.
