Randy Whitlock

Randy Whitlock brings a rare blend of artistic vision and cultural depth to his work. Initiated as a Mara'akame in the Huichol tradition, he carries forward a lineage rooted in ceremony, symbolism, and spiritual connection. His creative practice is centered on sculpture, with a strong focus on soapstone, where form and texture come together in pieces shaped by intuition and skill.

As a self-taught sculptor and former owner of Resurgam Art Gallery, Randy has long been engaged in supporting and presenting art with meaning and presence. He is also a member of the Huichol Art Project Council, reflecting his ongoing connection to cultural preservation and artistic collaboration. Those who encounter his work can expect a thoughtful perspective shaped by tradition, craftsmanship, and a deep respect for the stories art can hold.
