Mikayla Morley (C-IAYT, RYT 500) completed her 200-hour teacher training with Ilana Siegal at LifeWorks Studio in 2015. She later continued her education through a 500-hour Teacher Certification and completed Yoga Therapy Training with Dr. Jaime Stover Schmitt through Spanda Yoga Movement Therapy at the Himalayan Institute, finishing in 2019.
She has accumulated more than 1,000 hours of training in yoga and yoga therapy, along with over five years of hands-on experience as both a teacher and a practitioner working with private clients.
Mikayla first began studying yoga at the age of two, while her parents were living at the Kripalu Center. A lifelong dancer, she has trained extensively in multiple styles, including Modern and Ballet. After several dance-related injuries, she underwent hip surgery at 18, a turning point that initiated her own healing journey. LifeWorks, Ilana Siegal, and yoga therapy played an essential role in her recovery, and her lived experience with dance, physical pain, meditation, and other embodied movement practices continues to shape the work she offers today.
Her approach is centered on helping people deepen awareness of themselves and their bodies. She creates space for clients to refine physical alignment while also addressing mental, emotional, and spiritual concerns. Through one-on-one work, she develops individualized programs designed to meet each client’s needs, support growth, and encourage a greater sense of wholeness.
Mikayla offers one-on-one yoga therapy, which can be especially supportive for body retraining, injury recovery, post-surgical healing, chronic pain, and improving mobility, strength, and balance. She also provides somatic therapy, ideal for emotional processing, nervous system regulation, and body-based mental health support. In addition, she specializes in pelvic floor support work.
"I came to Mikayla with chronic headaches and fatigue. Three years later I still use the same exercises she showed me every day and they have made a marked improvement in my quality of life. Mikayla is a highly perceptive yoga therapist, who can offer exercises that are easy to integrate into daily life, but have the capacity to create long-lasting change." -Isabelle
"I highly recommend Mikayla Morley for one-on-one yoga therapy sessions. Mikayla is an incredibly talented and creative instructor. She is passionate about her work – her energy and commitment to her clients is evident in everything she does. She is so positive and inspiring – her enthusiasm is contagious!! She tailors each one-on-one session to suit her client's needs, offers constructive advice and encouragement, and always, always approaches her work with a big smile and a warm heart." -Lynn C.
"In my three-year journey with chronic pain I have worked and consulted with many doctors and healers. Mikayla stands apart from most for her ability to listen and work with, rather than diagnose and impose. She also possesses the rare capacity to integrate the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of being human into a single approach to healing. For those looking to move beyond the status quo in their journey to wellness, Mikayla is your guide!" -Mark
