In 1997, he launched his two-year Clinical Integration course, which has enriched the field by offering integral perspectives grounded in the classical tradition. More than 600 students have taken part so far, with many returning to study it again.
Lonny published his first book, Nourishing Destiny: The Inner Tradition of Chinese Medicine, in 1998. Now considered a classic, it explores the relationship between health and open awareness, and illness and habitual functioning, while examining the Chinese concept of destiny in relation to East Asian medicine. Rooted in the Classics, it brings those ideas into contemporary clinical practice.
In 2003, he released his second book, The Clinical Practice of Chinese Medicine, which shows how to bring the core values of Nourishing Destiny into the treatment room. His third book, Deepening Perspectives on Chinese Medicine, is in production and was expected in April 2021. In this latest work, he approaches Chinese medicine through an integral and developmental lens.
