
Born in 1967 in the Tingri region of Tibet, Lama Tenzin Sangpo left Tibet in 1976 and later received ordination and traditional training at Chokyi Nyima’s monastery, Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling, in Boudhanath, Kathmandu.
He grew up under the caring guidance of Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche, Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche, and Tsikey Chokling Rinpoche, receiving a broad education in the full range of the spiritual path. He also completed a traditional three-year retreat and is regarded as one of the monastery’s most respected lamas.
Lama Tenzin Sangpo is especially recognized for his skill in guiding monks through chanting and visualization practices. He is deeply knowledgeable in the many Buddhist philosophies and is highly experienced in meditation practice.
He serves as chant leader at major Buddhist ceremonies and leads meditation seminars around the world, sharing his profound understanding of Buddhist views and practices with those wishing to experience the Buddha Dharma.
At present, Lama Tenzin serves as the resident teacher at Rangjung Yeshe Gomde in Austria.
