Julie completed her first yoga teacher training in 2012, after a year of practice that confirmed yoga was something she wanted to offer to others. Movement has always felt like a deeply supportive and transformative force in her life. She was drawn to the grounded yet expansive feeling she discovered through asana and meditation, and her practice has continued to inspire her to grow in ways she never expected. It is that sense of possibility she hopes to pass on to her students. While working as a Physical Therapy Assistant, Julie began integrating yoga into her work and saw firsthand that healing benefits from a holistic, multidimensional approach—one that recognizes each person as whole, no matter the challenge they are facing. She is grateful to now serve as a full-time yoga teacher, yoga teacher trainer, and ayurvedic practitioner.
Julie trained with Siva Power Yoga in Wichita, KS, where she completed her 200-hour certification, and later expanded her studies through Inner Peace Yoga Therapy, earning a 300-hour certification. There she deepened her understanding of how yoga can support chronic pain, anxiety, depression, addiction, cancer, and grief. She also completed Warriors at Ease Level 1 training, exploring the human stress response, the nervous system, and the neuroscience of trauma. In 2020, after years of practicing ayurveda, she began studying at the California College of Ayurveda. She is currently an Ayurvedic Health Counselor and is set to graduate as a Medical Ayurvedic Specialist in 2024.
Julie holds the following certifications and titles: E-RYT 500, YACEP, Certified Hot Asana Assist, Hot Asana Yoga University Faculty, and Ayurvedic Practitioner.
