Julia Gavin

Julia has been teaching yoga in Goa since 2013 and brings more than 12 years of teacher training experience to her work. A true anatomy enthusiast, she is a devoted Level 2 Rocket teacher and an committed Ashtanga practitioner. Through her trainings, she creates a supportive space for practitioners and yoga teachers to grow with confidence and deepen their path as teachers.

Over the years, Julia has guided hundreds of students through their Yoga Teacher Training journey and has led Intermediate and Advanced Yoga Trainings at Kranti Yoga, Patnem for many years. Her teaching style is playful, progressive, and rooted in the meeting point between traditional yoga, functional movement, and a contemporary approach.

Julia is the founder of The Yoga Academy in Liverpool and continues to expand both her knowledge and practice with passion. Her training background includes multiple Rocket Vinyasa certifications with David Kyle AKA Baba Rocket, Marcus Veda & Hannah Whittingham, and Carson Clay Coulhan. She has also trained with Patrick Beach and follows his Vinyasa Flow practice closely. In addition, she has completed several online anatomy trainings with Cel Pereira.

Her yoga path began in January 2013 with a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Ashtanga at Kranti Yoga Goa. Since then, she has led teacher trainings around the world, from the beaches of Goa and the coast of Nicaragua to the mountains of the French Alps, the coast of Northern Spain, and her hometown of Liverpool. She now spends half the year teaching the 200 hr & 300 hr Yoga Teacher Training in Liverpool and six months at her second home, Palm Trees Yoga Resort. Julia especially enjoys teaching 300 hrs in Yoga Anatomy, Yoga Adjustments, and Advanced Sequencing in Patnem.
