
Huma is a C-IAYT certified yoga therapist, having completed the demanding requirements of the International Association of Yoga Therapists through four years of study in Loyola Marymount University’s Yoga Therapy program, which blends Western medicine with the 5,000-year-old yoga tradition. She also holds 500-RYT and E-500 RYT certifications, awarded to teachers with more than 2,000 hours of teaching by Yoga Alliance, and is certified by the Chopra Center as a Primordial Sound Meditation Teacher. Alongside her undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, she brings over 20 years of experience organizing global retreats and trips.
In her classes, Huma draws on deep knowledge of yoga and yoga therapy to support safe practice while offering personalized attention to each student. She teaches at some of the top studios in Southern California. Her multicultural background, former career as a communications executive, artistic passion, competitive swimming training, and multilingual skills all add richness and depth to her teaching.
