
Erik Pema Kunsang is the resident teacher at Gomde Denmark. He guides people to notice and open to the natural qualities of openness, gentleness, and confidence.
Born in Denmark, Erik has studied and practiced the Buddha’s teachings, especially those of Padmasambhava, since 1972. He has trained with many masters, including the Dzogchen master Tulku Urgyen Rinpoche, with whom he lived for 16 years as an assistant and interpreter.
Since 1975, he has been guided by Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche. With Rinpoche’s encouragement, Erik founded a study center and translation program in 1981, both named Rangjung Yeshe. He has translated and published more than 60 books, and his Tibetan-English dictionary is freely available online.
Erik is the founder and teacher of the Bodhi Training program, where students are gradually guided toward inner transformation through direct experience.
