Ariya B. Baumann, formerly known as Ven. Ariya Nani, brings more than two decades of monastic experience to her teaching. She spent 21 years as a Buddhist nun, receiving ordination in Burma from Sayadaw U Janaka, and devoted many years to supporting international meditators at the Chanmyay Myaing Meditation Center.
Now based in Switzerland, she shares her deep understanding of the Buddhist path through mettā and vipassanā retreats around the world. Her teaching is shaped by long practice, lived experience, and a clear, compassionate approach that supports both new and experienced meditators.
Participants can expect guidance rooted in tradition, with an emphasis on cultivating kindness, insight, and a steady meditation practice in a retreat setting.
