Anoop Purohit

Founder and lead trainer of Rishikesh Adiyogi Yoga School, Anoop Purohit was born and raised in Rishikesh, India. Rooted in the path of Adiyogi, Lord Shiva, the first yogi, he embodies a genuine yogic lifestyle. He began practicing yoga in 2000 and holds E-RYT 500 and YACEP certifications with Yoga Alliance.

He trained at the Iyengar Yoga Institute in Pune and Swami Vivekananda Yoga University in Bangalore, studying under experienced masters of Iyengar Yoga. His approach is grounded in Traditional Hatha Yoga and Iyengar Yoga, with a clear emphasis on discipline and the authenticity of classical teachings.

Anoop has taught in China, Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Bali, Vietnam, and Malaysia, sharing Iyengar Yoga, Yoga Therapy, and Anatomy with a strong focus on alignment and adjustments. He weaves together asana, pranayama, and dhyana with the wisdom of ancient yogic scriptures, inviting students to explore yoga on a deeper level. His classes highlight alignment, awareness, and the therapeutic value of yoga, while also emphasizing yoga anatomy and the intelligent use of props to support each student’s individual path. The result is a practical, effective, and authentic learning experience.
