Anat is a true free spirit and, above all, an artist at heart. Her paintings reveal intimate fragments of her inner world, offering a glimpse into the depth and sensitivity that shape her life and work. In her everyday practice, she gracefully weaves together art therapy and Taoist yoga, continually moving deeper into her own essence through everything she does.
Her path into art and healing began in 1991, when she started studying art in London. Even as a child, she felt drawn to spirit and creativity, discovering entire little worlds within the cubes she played with. She lived and studied in London for around four years at The ARTS in Therapy & Education, where she completed courses in body psychotherapy and art therapy, exploring the therapeutic power of the arts and creative imagination for a healthier, more fulfilling life.
During this time, she also studied seven art forms used in therapeutic conversation: art, drama/puppetry, sculpture/clay, poetry, sand play, music, and bodywork/movement. This experience opened a profound space for self-reflection, helping her better understand the layers of her being and meet life’s challenges with greater depth and awareness.
For many years, Anat has worked as an art therapist in an anthroposophical spirit and as a physical psychotherapist. In the especially demanding years of recent times, she continued her calling by supporting children and parents facing deep emotional conflict and difficulty. With great care and insight, she created a studio and clinic dedicated to expression and growth, where art-making, play, and painting become part of the therapeutic process.
She believes therapy offers a safe space for holding emotional states, strengthening self-confidence, and expanding the ability to express oneself. For her, art is the purest expression of the true self.
Anat is a wife and a mother of three. One of the most meaningful moments in her life was giving birth in a hut, with a certified midwife and her partner by her side. She trusts her body deeply and sees birth as a sublime natural and spiritual event. Her three children are her greatest spiritual gifts, giving her the strength to face life’s forest of challenges.
She has practiced yoga for about 15 years, and for her, yoga represents the unity of everything: Tao, God, cosmos, and universe. More than anything, it is freedom breathing within the womb. From early 2023, she felt called to go beyond personal practice and began guided training with Zvika, a Taoist Master Key, with a focus on Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Tibetan Yoga, and Taoist Yoga.
Through this practice, she explored the understanding that there is no separate “I” in the body, only the flow of Qi. She describes Qi as the most powerful and sublime intelligence: the spirit of creation embodied in matter, and the life-giving force present in all beings.
In December 2022, Anat traveled with her husband to Poros, Greece, in search of a place that could become her own oasis of peace and quiet. Fate then brought her to Lefkada, where she met Zvika, her future partner and a Taoist master. In May 2023, she crossed the floating bridge to Lefkada Island for the first time and felt an immediate sense of home.
There, she arrived at Apanema Mindfulness, a retreat set on a green mountainside where time seems to stand still. At sunrise and sunset, practice takes place on the deck in the Zen garden and on the nearby turquoise beach. The program includes Tai Chi, Qi Gong, and Tibetan Taoist yoga.
For the past 30 months, she has devoted herself to Tai Ji, Qi Gong, Taoist and Tibetan Yoga. In 2025, she and Zvika began hosting Wellbeing Mindfulness Retreats from September to June, almost once a month, at Apanema Mindfulness. These retreats are designed for very small boutique groups of up to 10 participants, in the comfort of a private gated villa complex with a swimming pool, sauna, massage area, practice studio, and Zen Garden.
Anat is always discovering new ways of self-therapy. Her first book, What Remains, was published in October 2024. Bringing it to life was both overwhelming and transformational, and she is currently working on a new book.
