Alan Waugh is an internationally recognized healer, Ayahuasca ceremony leader, teacher, public speaker, Reiki master, hypnotherapist, and the creator of FREEDOM BREATHWORK™, SHAMANIC ENERGY TRANSFORMATIONAL HEALING (SETH)™, and SHAMANISTIC REIKI™. He began his healing training in the Shipibo Ayahuasca tradition of Peru in 2005.
He is the author of the bestselling book Alchemical Ayahuasca: Take the Journey from Depression to the Sweet Spot.
Born in London, Alan began his spiritual path in his mid-20s while moving through a decade of severe depression. Over three years of travel, he changed the course of his life by exploring spiritual power centers across Asia, Africa, and South America. Through the study of ancient wisdom traditions and contemplative practices, he resolved mind-body imbalances and has remained free from depression for more than 30 years.
For more than two decades, Alan volunteered with the Zen Hospice Project in San Francisco, California, supporting hundreds of clients through the final transition of life.
Today, he devotes his energy to service and to helping create a better world. His greatest joy is empowering clients to reach optimal health, happiness, and personal success. His unique gift lies in the Shamanic process of clearing dense energies that drive fear-based reactions and emotions, supporting lasting change in self-limiting patterns.
He has guided more than a thousand clients through safe medicine ceremonies in the US and South America. Alan founded the Sacred Valley Spiritual Retreat Center in Mount Shasta, California, and now lives at his new retreat facility in Vilcabamba, Ecuador, which he co-founded with his wife, Dianna. Together, they offer healing work, training, and plant ceremonies there, as well as shamanic healing sessions via Zoom. They also maintain a satellite office in Mount Shasta, where they work with personally recommended healers.
