Description:
This IYA Certified Yoga Teacher Training Course offers structured, in-depth study across the core dimensions of yoga teaching. The curriculum includes asanas, pranayama, meditation, yoga philosophy, anatomy and physiology, and teaching methodology. On successful completion, participants receive certification recognized by the Indian Yoga Association (IYA) Associate Centre.
Yogic Science: Concept and definition of yoga, its history from Vedic times to the present, major streams of yoga, Karma Yoga, Bhakti Yoga, Raja Yoga, Jnana Yoga, and Hatha Yoga. The theory section also introduces yoga texts, the Patanjali Yoga Sutras, Hatha Yoga texts, the Bhagavad Gita, shat karmas (Shuddhi Kriyas), yoga therapy, the concept of Ayurveda, the role of Sanskrit in yogic studies, the basics of naturopathy, and an introduction to the Indian Knowledge System.
Medical Science: Human anatomy and physiology, including cells, tissues, organs, and systems, along with glands and hormones. Topics also cover the musculoskeletal system, joints, bones, muscles, and common conditions related to bones and joints, plus the digestive system, pancreas, liver, kidneys, and common digestive disorders.
Breathing Exercises: Hands in/out, hand stretch, ankle stretch, tiger breathing, rabbit breathing, dog breathing, shashankasana breathing, leg raise breathing, deep breathing, sectional breathing, and Kapalbhati.
Loosening exercises: Neck movement, shoulder rotation, elbow joint, wrist movement, finger joints, cycling, circling, alternate knee touching, toe touching, forward and backward bending, butterfly, thigh loosening, chakki chalasana, and shashankasana-bhujangasana loosening.
Suryanamaskara: Single steps, with beej mantras, and with breathing awareness.
