For five concentrated days, Tara Mandala will be held as a space of deep practice, where precise tantric methods are used to clear obstacles and build vast merit. What makes this gathering especially meaningful is its spirit of radical generosity: the blessings accumulated through the practice are offered freely to the whole community. To take part in a Drubchö is more than witnessing a ritual — it is to enter a living stream of grace, where sacred art and selfless intention come together in a powerful opportunity for collective renewal.
Drubchö is a dynamic Tibetan Buddhist “Accomplishment Ritual,” an intensive retreat devoted to activating a central mandala containing objects and substances empowered through practice. This focused gathering is designed to generate abundant merit and blessings, which are then shared outward for the benefit of all.
During this retreat, the White Dakini Drubchö from the Dzinpa Rangdröl (Self-Liberation of Clinging) treasure cycle will be performed. This profound cycle was revealed by the great Mahasiddha Do Kyentse Yeshe Dorje and preserved within the lineage held by Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche and Tulku Sangngag Rinpoche, who entrusted it to Lama Tsultrim.
Lama Tsultrim will begin the Drubchö by offering the Dzinpa Rangdröl empowerment (wang).
Practices will include the White Dakini Sadhana, centered on Machig Labdrön as the White Dakini surrounded by the four retinue Dakinis. Participants will also engage in Ngöndro, Tröma Sadhana, and Parchangma Chöd.
On the final day, the retreat concludes with receiving the blessing substances and other objects inside the mandala, followed by the Increasing Fire Puja (jinsek).
This program is open to everyone.
Those in the Gateway Dragons cohort must attend one Drubchö in 2025, 2026, or 2027. The Drubchö will be offered annually.
It is recommended that participants have some familiarity with sadhana, tsog, and Chöd, as the many hours of practice and the variety of rituals may feel overwhelming for newcomers.
Please bring your personal practice texts: Dzinpa Rangdröl Ngöndro, White Dakini Drubcho/Drubchen Text, Parchangma Chöd, and Glorious Bestowal of the Two Fold Benefit (the fire puja text). You are also welcome to bring your own texts from the 2025 Drubchö or an earlier Drubchen. New texts will be available for purchase in the Tara Mandala Store. Practice texts are not included in the program tuition.
Also bring a mala, bell & vajra, and a small practice damaru. These items are available through the Dakini Store.
Chöd damaru and kangling are optional. Parchangma Chöd will be practiced in the evenings.
Dharma attire/ritual clothing is requested, including a zen and yogi skirt/chuba. Ritual clothing typically includes white and/or shades within the red spectrum, from deep purple to pink and red. A zen or ritual shawl is also worn. These items are available for purchase in the Tara Mandala Dakini Store. You may also wear any modest clothing in this color range, as long as your shoulders and legs are covered.
Slip-on Temple shoes
Water bottle, tea thermos
Cash or checks for dana. Many teachers now use PayPal and Venmo, but offering something physical at the end of the Drubchö can be especially meaningful. If you plan to give cash dana, smaller bills are helpful so your offering can be divided among all the lamas, umzes, chopons, and volunteers.

Installment Payment Plan Option at Registration
Tara Mandala aims to make its programs as accessible as possible. At registration, participants may either pay in full or choose the Installment Payment Plan. If you select the installment option, a 25% deposit is required at registration, and the remaining balance will be divided into equal monthly payments. The final payment is due 14 days before the program begins. If registration happens close to the start date, additional arrangements can be made.
Sponsoring the Drubchö is a meaningful act of generosity that creates auspicious connections with these profound teachings, supports your own path, helps purify obstacles to realization, and directly benefits the Three Jewels. Your sponsorship helps sustain the sacred elements of the practice — from flower offerings and tsog to butter lamps, incense, and ritual substances. In this way, the living lineage of these practices continues to flourish.
Dana, meaning “generosity,” is the traditional offering made to a teacher as an expression of gratitude and reciprocity for receiving precious teachings. Guidance on offering dana will be shared during the program.
The suggested dana for this program is $120 – $360.
In support of an equitable, diverse, and inclusive community, these pricing guidelines are offered as a way to reflect on the resources that shape access to dharma teachings. There is no right or wrong answer — participants are encouraged to choose the range or rate that best fits their circumstances.
