One of our most popular activities is white-water tubing on the Rio Perdido, a favorite among our guests. This adventure follows more than a mile of spectacular canyon scenery, with narrow rock walls and powerful rapids along the way. Keep an eye out for the terminal water outlets hidden throughout the route, or watch for elusive wildlife such as tail-prehensile porcupines, trogons, tiger herons, howler monkeys, white-faced capuchins, and bats. You’ll also pass the home of big cats, with a chance to spot them if luck is on your side.
Although much of the current allows for a peaceful float through the canyon, this river is far from calm. A few drops and rapids add an exciting edge to the experience, making it enjoyable for adventurous beginners as well as families with older children.
