Three-Month Intensive Karma Yoga Program for Spiritual Awakening
This is our most advanced educational offering, designed for those ready to meet themselves honestly and do the work of transformation in community. We believe that moving beyond the ego requires more than insight alone; it asks for the courage to face difficult truths, supported by experienced teachers and guides.
Rooted in ancient Buddhist practices and informed by modern integral theory, science, and psychology, the Three Month Intensive invites you into a conscious awakening community. Within this supportive container, you can reconnect with meaning, purpose, and a deeper sense of belonging.
The experience is both grounding and expansive: it can help you feel more fully human, more connected to others, and more hopeful about the future of our planet.

June 29 – August 29, 2026 – a special two month version aimed at younger people – see Re-Generation Youth Program: Where Spirituality, Ecology & Community Meet for more details.

This is a community-based experience, and we strongly encourage participants to connect with us before and after the program. If you feel called to this path, we invite you to meet us first. You can join our next online workshop, or visit for a personal cabin retreat and spend a day in community afterward.
The Three Month Intensive centers on three essential areas:
The program primarily explores the ancient practice of Karma Yoga. Each learning module draws on current research in Integral Spirituality, psychology, teamwork, environmental restoration, wholesome technology use, and shadow integration.
What is Karma Yoga? Karma Yoga can be understood as meditation in action, or awakening through service. Combined with contemporary psychology and practical tools, it becomes a powerful path of integrated spiritual growth.
The Program Includes:
Living on 300 acres in the Canadian Rocky Mountains, you will learn how to:
Participants are asked to bring a laptop for wholesome and practical use during the program.
Please note that Karma Yoga is not Hatha Yoga, and we do not teach Hatha Yoga. We do, however, recognize its value.
Clear Sky would not exist without our Founding Teachers, Qapel and Sensei, who lead programs through their virtual monastery, Planet Dharma. Think of Clear Sky as their physical monastery and Planet Dharma as their global online monastery. When at Clear Sky, they engage with the community in a vibrant way, modelling compassion, wisdom, and non-clinging awareness.
Our roots are in the Karma Kagyu school of Vajrayana Buddhism, and we also draw from a range of approaches and spiritual practices, including mindful breathing, Theravadin and Zen Buddhism, Western Mystery teachings such as Kabbalah, Tarot, and Star Group, as well as modern Integral Spirituality. Working with our founding teachers offers a rare opportunity to learn from two highly experienced masters of awakening.
You are not expected to accept our founding teachers as your teachers. However, those who benefit most from the program are those who value what the teachers offer and engage openly, thoughtfully, and with curiosity.
This program is one of the most challenging experiences you may undertake. We see every part of the human psyche as an opportunity for learning and transformation.
With skill and compassion, we support participants in facing uncomfortable aspects of themselves, including suppressed anger, unacknowledged hurt, and habitual patterns around money, sex, or power. Our aim is to offer a safe container where your deepest vulnerabilities can be met with support.
Tuition is $2775 + tax for the three months.
The journey is calling. Are you ready to answer?
What exactly is the Three Month Intensive Karma Yoga Program?
It is a residential 90-day immersion at Clear Sky Meditation Centre in the Rocky Mountains of British Columbia, Canada. The program combines Karma Yoga, Buddhist practice, integral psychology, and community living. Daily life includes group meditation, hands-on service work such as gardening, cooking, and construction, structured learning modules, and direct teacher guidance. No prior meditation or yoga experience is required.
How is this different from a yoga retreat or yoga teacher training in BC?
Most yoga retreats in BC last from a few days to two weeks and focus on physical postures or certification. This program is neither. Karma Yoga has nothing to do with Hatha Yoga — it is the yoga of conscious action and selfless service. There is no certification at the end. Instead, you receive a rare three-month container for genuine psychological and spiritual transformation, supported by experienced teachers in one of BC’s most beautiful retreat settings.
Is this a silent retreat?
No. The Three Month Intensive is a community immersion, where you live, eat, work, and practice alongside fellow participants every day. Relational dynamics are intentionally part of the transformation process. If you are seeking silence, Clear Sky also offers private silent cabin retreats as a separate experience.
How much does the Three-Month Intensive cost and what is included?
Tuition is CAD $2,775 + tax for the full three months and includes accommodation, all organic meals, the complete Karma Yoga curriculum, daily group meditations, personal guidance from associate teachers, and a 3-night private cabin retreat. A non-refundable CAD $925 + tax deposit is required at registration, with the remaining CAD $1,850 + tax due two weeks before arrival. Please budget an additional $75–100 per week for personal expenses and dāna offerings to the founding teachers. We also ask that you arrive with at least CAD $2,000 in savings for your post-program transition.
What is a typical day like?
Early morning group meditation is followed by hands-on Karma Yoga work such as gardening, cooking, or construction. Afternoons are devoted to learning modules, then applied Karma Yoga like writing, research, or digital work. Evenings may include community time or classes. One integration day off each week is built in, and personal time is available most evenings after 8:30 pm.
How far in advance should I apply, and who is this for?
For the best chance of acceptance, apply three to six months before your preferred intake. Those with the most flexibility receive priority placement. The 2026 intakes are March 2–June 2, June 29–August 29, and September 8–December 8. The program is suitable for anyone ready for serious inner work, from complete beginners to experienced practitioners. What matters most is a sincere willingness to show up and engage honestly.
