A seven-day retreat for the body, breath, and mind
Have you ever felt fully at ease in yourself - clear, energized, unhurried, and deeply well? This retreat is designed to help you return to that place.
Held in Nosara, Costa Rica, The Reset is a seven-day retreat for anyone who has been running on empty for too long. If you are longing for space to breathe, slow down, and reconnect with how your body feels when it is no longer carrying everything, this experience is for you. With only 10 guests, it is intentionally intimate, personal, and deeply supported.
Set in the lush jungle near Guiones Beach, within one of the world’s five Blue Zones, each day is carefully shaped to soften the effects of stress and busyness while creating something more grounded and sustainable in their place.
A Space to Come Home to Yourself
Mornings begin with meditation, followed by an hour and a half of yoga that is strong, intentional, and deeply mindful, with a focus on longevity and lifelong body health. Hands-on assists add a personal touch, making each class feel like a retreat within the retreat. You will leave the mat feeling both challenged and restored.
Breakfast at Copal follows, unhurried and nourishing, before the morning opens into whatever feels right for you. Guiones Beach is known as one of the world’s best surf beaches and is especially welcoming for beginners, with surf lessons available throughout the week. You may also choose to explore, wander, or simply rest. January in Nosara is a special time, and there is no wrong way to spend a morning here.
After lunch at Copal, the afternoon practice begins. Each day alternates between Yoga Nidra and Integrated Breathwork, two powerful tools for deep restoration and lasting change.
As the day winds down, the beach invites you back. Three evenings are shared as a group: a welcome dinner, a midweek pasta night at Copal, and a farewell dinner at La Luna. The remaining evenings are yours to enjoy freely.
Then comes sleep - deep, restorative jungle sleep - before beginning again.
Morning Meditation A guided practice of arriving, quieting the mind, connecting with intention, and accessing the clarity that can guide your day.
Yoga Strong, challenging, and deeply mindful. Each class is carefully sequenced and draws from Jivamukti methodology, whole-body movement, resistance stretching, myofascial release, restorative postures, inversions, and core work, all supported by good music and a deeply restorative Savasana. Personal hands-on assists reflect Daphne’s background as a bodyworker and her knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine meridians, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and body anatomy, making every session feel like a retreat within the retreat.
Yoga Nidra Practiced between waking and sleep, Yoga Nidra works directly with the subconscious, helping release what no longer serves you, shift old patterns, and restore the body at a cellular level.
Integrated Breathwork A blend of the Oxygen Advantage method and Conscious Connected Breathing, designed to train the body to breathe efficiently, move through stored emotions, and access a clarity many of us forget is available.
Taking It Home Every practice is taught with real life in mind. As a life coach and habit and behavior design guide, Daphne helps you leave with a simple, sustainable practice that fits your everyday world. The aim is not a temporary reset, but a lasting shift.
Every guest receives three private one-hour integrative wellness coaching sessions with Daphne, held before, during, and after the retreat.
Before arrival, you and Daphne connect to clarify your intentions, what you are bringing into the week, and what you most want to shift. Midway through the retreat, another session creates space to integrate what is unfolding and respond to what is rising. After you return home, the final session helps anchor your experience and shape the practices, habits, and next steps that support your transformation in daily life.
Most retreats end when you leave. This one does not.
These are not check-in calls. They are dedicated one-hour sessions held entirely for you, offering thoughtful support and guidance from someone who has devoted her life to this work. Many guests find them as transformative as the retreat itself.
The Reset is not a break from your life. It is a meaningful return to yourself.
You will leave with a morning practice that centers you, a breathing practice that steadies you when life feels loud, and a body that remembers what true rest feels like. These are practices that become habits, and habits that can change everything.
You will also leave with friendships formed through honesty and shared experience, along with a softness, clarity, and sense of coming home to yourself that stay with you long after the jungle fades and ordinary life begins again.
You came to reset. You leave transformed.

Nosara is one of those rare places. Set within a protected wildlife reserve on Costa Rica’s Pacific coast and recognized as one of the world’s five Blue Zones, it is a region associated with longer, healthier, and happier lives. The jungle is alive here, the ocean is generous and consistent, and the community is vibrant, creative, and intentional about how it lives. The food is exceptional, and the sunsets are unforgettable.
Guiones Beach is widely considered one of the best surf beaches in the world, with long, consistent waves and a gentle shore break that welcomes complete beginners while still offering plenty for experienced surfers. It is also one of the most beautiful coastlines you will ever stand on.
More people return to Nosara than anywhere else in Costa Rica. Once you visit, you understand why.
Daphne has been coming here for nearly twenty years. She lived in Nosara after college and completed both of her yoga teacher trainings on this land - her first at Nosara Yoga Institute in 2011 and her second in the Jivamukti tradition at Blue Spirit. She has surfed this ocean in every season, knows its rhythms well, and has watched this community grow into something truly rare. When she thinks about where to bring people for a week of genuine transformation, there is only one answer.
Your home for the week is Norte Nosara, a boutique yoga and surf hotel in the heart of Guiones Beach, surrounded by jungle and a short walk from the ocean. Norte is one of Costa Rica’s most beloved retreat spaces, with a world-class open-air shala, a beautiful waterfall pool, and Copal, an exceptional on-site restaurant serving fresh, locally inspired food daily. It is a place that feels like arriving somewhere you already belong.
Rooms are available as shared double or single occupancy. The Barefoot Bungalow is the premium shared option and Norte’s most spacious, characterful room. Poolside and Daydream are beautifully appointed shared doubles. Single occupancy gives you your own private bungalow. All rooms include a private bathroom, air conditioning, high-quality linens, and a secluded outdoor seating area surrounded by jungle. If you do not have a roommate, you can reach out and the team will do its best to match you with another retreat guest.
The closest international airport is Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR), about a 2.5 to 3 hour drive from Nosara. Direct flights to Liberia are available from Houston, Miami, Dallas, Los Angeles, Denver, Newark, Atlanta, and Chicago. If you are traveling from Europe, you will likely connect through Miami, Houston, or another major U.S. hub. January is high season, so booking flights early is strongly recommended.
After landing in Liberia, Norte Nosara coordinates private shuttles directly to the property at approximately $45 per person one way. Once your flights are booked, simply share your details and the shuttle will be arranged directly with Norte so you can arrive with ease.
There is also a small regional airport in Nosara. Domestic flights from San José and Liberia take just 15 to 30 minutes and offer a beautiful arrival option. Sansa Air and Carmona Air both serve this route.
Daphne Lyon has been teaching yoga since 2011 and has spent the past decade and a half traveling the world in devoted pursuit of practices that truly change lives. She completed both of her yoga teacher trainings in Nosara - her first at Nosara Yoga Institute in 2011 and her second in the Jivamukti tradition at Blue Spirit - before studying with meditation masters, breathwork guides, and healing teachers across continents. A former Peace Corps volunteer and lifelong world traveler, she brings a depth of lived experience that extends far beyond the mat.
She grew up attending yoga and meditation classes in her parents’ yoga studio, so these practices were woven into her life from the beginning. As a teenager navigating anxiety in middle and high school, they became her anchor - not a trend or a wellness hobby, but a real lifeline. That lived understanding of what these practices can offer in both the darkest and most ordinary moments of life is at the heart of everything she teaches.
Daphne is an integrative wellbeing coach, life coach, and habit and behavior design guide, and her mission is to share practices that transform the inner world so we can help shape the outer world we want to live in. She has led retreats across Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, New York, and beyond, and there is nothing she loves more than bringing people together in community to share in this one precious life.
Her relationship to the body goes beyond yoga. As a trained bodyworker, she draws on traditional Chinese medicine meridians, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and human anatomy. Daphne understands how the body holds tension, emotion, and history, and how movement, breath, and touch can open what words alone cannot reach. This informs everything she teaches, from class sequencing to the hands-on assists that make each session feel deeply personal.
Based between Philadelphia, Princeton, and New York, she has been traveling to Nosara for sixteen years. She knows this land, this community, and this ocean with rare familiarity and love. Her teaching is warm, rigorous, and
