Set in Cape Town’s spectacular natural surroundings, this light holistic adventure retreat blends sea, mountains, and wilderness into one unforgettable experience. Designed for travelers who want to slow down and explore, it brings together serene Stand Up Paddling sessions, gentle hiking, scenic drives, and meaningful time in nature. Paddle in a hidden cove where dolphins may appear, float near penguins close to Cape Point, and take in iconic views of Table Mountain along the way.
With a balance of relaxation and adventure, this micro retreat is ideal for solo travelers, couples, and families looking to destress while discovering the Cape’s most beautiful landscapes. Enjoy drives along Chapman’s Peak and Clarence Drive, reconnect with the outdoors on peaceful hiking trails, and experience a traditional South African braai cooked over an open fire with your private host and guide. From dolphins and seals to penguins and indigenous flora and fauna, every moment is designed to immerse you in the region’s natural treasures.
Your first day begins with an easy city hotel pickup or Uber drop-off, making for a smooth start to the retreat. The morning opens with a floating breakfast in a hidden bay often visited by dolphins and seals, offering a postcard-perfect view of Table Mountain from the water. This gentle floating meditation creates a memorable introduction to Cape Town’s coastal beauty.
From there, continue along the coastline on a scenic drive via the world-famous Chapman’s Peak Drive toward Cape Point for a second floating meditation. The journey also includes time at Cape Town’s famous penguin beach, where you can see African Jackass penguins in their natural habitat. Lunch is enjoyed in the seaside village of Kalk Bay at a local restaurant overlooking the beach and False Bay.
In the afternoon, travel across the bay to the Kogelberg mountains, home to many of the Cape’s endemic flowers and birds. You will spend the night in a peaceful nature reserve with a natural pool, before joining a sunset cooking workshop at your private modern eco cabin overlooking the valley. There, you’ll learn to prepare a traditional South African braai over an open fire.
The second day begins with a refreshing cold water plunge in a natural pool, followed by a healthy breakfast to prepare you for the day ahead. Afterward, enjoy a gentle hike through the nature reserve and take in the beauty of the Cape’s flora and fauna at a relaxed pace.
As the retreat comes to a close, you’ll return to your city accommodation feeling renewed, restored, and inspired by the landscape. It is a simple yet powerful combination of adventure, nature, and calm in one of Cape Town’s most breathtaking settings.
Mornings begin with a light and healthy granola fruit bowl, served with coffee, tea, or juice during the floating breakfast experience. Lunch is enjoyed at a charming seaside restaurant, with meals paid for separately.
Dinner features a traditional South African BBQ/braai with free-range organic ostrich or venison, or vegetarian options if specified. This interactive cooking workshop teaches you how to manage heat over open flames and coals, and by the end of the retreat, you’ll have learned how to build your own fire, control the coals, and prepare several dishes over open fire.
Stay in beautifully designed eco cabins available in two- and four-sleeper options, set within the calm of a nature reserve. These modern cabins feature glass windows with valley views, private BBQ areas, outdoor dining space, private bathroom facilities, crisp linen, and a fully equipped kitchen and dining area.
Guests also have access to a shared natural eco pool, river access, and nature walks right from the doorstep. Popular with nature lovers, couples, and birdwatching enthusiasts, the cabins offer a peaceful place to switch off and unwind, while Wi-Fi is available if needed.
