If you love a strong physical asana practice and enjoy exploring what your body can do, this immersive weekend may be exactly what you need. It is designed for practitioners who want to step away from the demands of everyday life and devote focused energy to their practice, working through physical and mental blocks along the way. If you are ready to take things to the next level, join this 3-day Rocket and Inversion Immersion.

This is not a typical retreat. Instead, you will fully immerse yourself in 3 Rocket sessions, 1 arm balancing workshop, 2 evening Yin or meditation sessions, and a water recovery session. These powerful practices, inspired by Larry Schultz’s approach to Ashtanga yoga, create space for real transformation and help you access a new energetic state.

There will also be time to relax, share meals, bathe in fresh air, and connect with fellow Rocket practitioners. Set beside an uncrowded lake in the heart of Portugal, the location offers the chance to rent kayaks, stand-up paddle boards (SUPs), and try wakeboarding, so your days can be as adventurous as you wish, all in a natural setting.

The weekend will be led by Zoe Taylor and Trish Corley, both Rocket yoga teachers and practitioners. You will also be well nourished by retreat Chef Kimberly Wiltshire, a yogi who is passionate about supporting the body through food.

Here is the guide to the 3-day intensive. All activities are optional and may be subject to minor changes:

Day 1

• 3pm–5pm Arrival and time to settle into your yoga home
• 5:15pm Welcome Circle and Weekend Overview
• 6pm Rocket 1 (90 min)
• 7:30pm Dinner
• 9:15pm Yin Yoga (45 min)
• 10pm Silence

Day 2

• 8am Jala Neti Cleanse, Agni Sar, Pranayama
• 8:30am Rocket 2 (120 min)
• 10:30am Brunch
• 12 noon Water Recovery, River Beach Relaxation — additional cost for wakeboard, kayak, or SUP
• 3pm Afternoon Tea
• 5pm Arm Balance Workshop (120 min)
• 7:30pm Dinner
• 9:15pm Yin & Yoga Nidra (45 min)
• 10pm Silence

Day 3

• 8:30am Jala Neti Cleanse, Agni Sar, Pranayama
• 9am Rocket 3 (120 min)
• 11am Brunch + Pack
• 1pm Closing Circle
• 2pm Depart

Dates: Friday 17th April to Sunday 19th April

Choose Your Room:

• Shared twin room: €400
• Private double room: €450
• Bring a friend/partner to share the private double room: €350 each

Includes: 9 hours of yoga tuition, all food and drinks (tea, coffee, water), 2 nights of accommodation, and transport to the local river beach or activity.

Does not include: airport or city transfers. Information can be provided on car or public transport from Lisbon to Vila de Rei.

More than anything, this weekend is about the people, the place, and the shared moment in time. Come deepen your yogic practice, learn and apply new techniques, enjoy nourishing meals, and experience swims in natural lakes and rivers in Central Portugal.
