This 3.5-hour workshop in Berlin’s Prenzlauer Berg offers a deep dive into the technical language of yogic breath, grounded in Vedic tradition and guided by Neha Pugalia. It is YACEP certified and designed for anyone who wants to understand breath not only as a practice, but as a science that influences the nervous system, mental states, physical wellbeing, and the flow of prana — the life force described in Vedic teachings for thousands of years.
Hosted at Yogicescape Prenzlauer Berg, the session is led by Neha Pugalia, founder of Yogicescape and a Pranayama teacher trained in India’s Vedic traditions. With 200-hour and 300-hour teacher trainings completed across Europe and India, she brings both depth and clarity to every part of the experience. Participants explore core techniques including Nadi Shodhana, Ujjayi, Bhramari, Kapalbhati, Bhastrika, Shitali, breath retention, and all three Bandhas. The workshop also shows how to adapt each method to different bodies and life situations, including stress, fatigue, insomnia, and anxiety.
The fee is €79, and every participant leaves with a YACEP certificate. The benefits, however, extend far beyond the day itself.
Four essential practices, one focused day, and practical tools you can return to for life.
01 The Breath Rooted in Vedic Science
This is not a general breathwork class. The techniques taught here come from a living lineage, shaped by India’s Vedic traditions and Neha’s experience leading 200H and 300H teacher trainings across Europe. What you learn is grounded in tradition, not in trends.
02 Working with Your Nervous System
Different techniques serve different purposes: Bhramari for calming, Kapalbhati for energising, and Nadi Shodhana for balancing. You will learn the specific effects of each practice and how to choose the right one for yourself and for those you teach.
03 Breath for Everyday Life
Pranayama has long been used to support stress, fatigue, imbalance, and anxiety. This workshop focuses on real-world application, helping you adapt the techniques to your body, your routine, and your current needs.
04 The Three Bandhas
Often mentioned in yoga classes but rarely taught in depth, the three energy locks are explored here as a complete and meaningful part of the practice.
From foundational techniques to integration, the workshop follows a clear and structured flow.
12:30 – 13:15 Nadi Shodhana & Ujjayi
Alternate nostril breathing to support balance in the energy channels, followed by the ocean breath for deep parasympathetic activation and a technique you can return to daily.
13:15 – 14:00 Bhramari, Kapalbhati & Bhastrika
Humming bee breath for instant calm, Kapalbhati for rapid energisation, and Bhastrika for full system activation — three powerful techniques with immediate effects.
14:00 – 14:45 Shitali, Breath Retention & Bandhas
Cooling breath to help regulate body temperature, plus Kumbhaka and all three energy locks — Mula, Uddiyana, and Jalandhara — taught as one integrated practice.
14:45 – 16:00 Traditional Wisdom & Integration
Explore the science of prana and breath anatomy, how breath can support lifestyle-related imbalances, and finish with an integration practice and guidance for creating a home practice.
"This training completely transformed my relationship with breath. Neha guides with such depth and care — I left with tools I use every single day." — Sarah M.
