In Kundalini meditation, existential kundalini energy is welcomed into the body, transformed, and allowed to fill it with renewed vitality while also bringing a deep sense of calm from the body to the soul.
This meditation unfolds in four stages, each lasting 15 minutes. It is usually practiced with closed eyes, although the first and second stages can also be done with eyes open.
Relax fully and turn your awareness inward. Let go of your limits. Allow attention to soften and spread through the whole body, from the feet to the crown of the head. Tune into inner space, energy, and sensation. Let the body begin to shake from the feet and keep the movement going. Shaking and movement help awaken vital energy and indirectly stimulate Kundalini energy, helping it ignite.

Do not cling to thoughts, desires, or images. Release all physical and mental tension, and do not interfere with the awakening and rising of Kundalini energy or the body’s shaking. Go inward, expand, and melt into space.
As you listen to the music, allow the shaking to dissolve into dance and chaos to become flow. In this way, the atoms of the soil and life rise into a tree in spring. The body and energy come into harmony and begin to move in rhythm with the music. Do not hold back.
By turning inward and relaxing, let facial expressions, tension, attitudes, and habits fall away. Withdraw attention from emotions, thoughts, and the mind into emptiness. Connect with the body and energy from within, stay in harmony with the body and music, feel the Kundalini energy, and keep its awakening, flow, and dance alive. The more you relax outwardly into the body and inwardly into spirit, the more existence will dance and flow through you. Let the boundaries dissolve. Melt. This can become witnessing.
Remain standing or sit down with closed eyes. Step back from the body, breath, thoughts, and mind. Do not interfere with anything. Do not become emotional. Let everything go. Do not evaluate, judge, think, or imagine. Only what is real will remain. Observe with ease, both outwardly toward the body and inwardly toward emptiness. You may feel boundless lightness and ecstasy. Watch impartially everything that arises outside and inside from within. Melt into energy and space like a seed within a tree. Relax, open, and consciously dissolve. Let witnessing happen.
Lie down. Make no effort to do anything or not do anything. Simply do nothing. Relax and allow everything outside and inside to unfold naturally. Let silence and peace be present, both within and without.
After the meditation, rise slowly and return gently to life.
