November Sesshin – Gratitude

Description

With deep gratitude for our cherished sangha near and far, the Monastery is delighted to offer another sesshin. There is no fixed fee for this retreat. Everyone is welcome, and heartfelt donations are appreciated.

Throughout this week of practice, we will eat only the offerings brought specifically for this retreat. Food donations are always welcome, and during sesshin they are especially helpful. Please bring foods you enjoy, as well as items that will inspire the kitchen team and cook. The head cook, or tenzo, will need to draw on creativity and let each donation shape our meals in unexpected ways.

Otherwise, we will follow the traditional sesshin rhythm: early to bed, early to rise, and a full day of practice in between.

To attend in person, you must first complete one of our Beginner’s Mind Weekend retreats or a five- to seven-day silent retreat at another Zen Center before registering for longer Zen retreats.

Please plan to attend for the full duration.
