Life can easily pull couples in many directions at once. Between work, family, and the demands of everyday life, it is not always easy to slow down and make space for one another. This weekend at The Oaks offers a chance to step away from the noise, focus on your relationship, and invest in the life you are building together.
The experience is designed to be both meaningful and enjoyable. Guided sessions will help strengthen your foundation as a couple, while practical tools give you something valuable to take home. In between, you will have time to relax and enjoy the 240-acre property. Walk the trails, swim, play pickleball, or gather around the fire for s'mores. There is room here for reflection, growth, laughter, and play.
The price includes lodging, programming, and meals for two people. Additional experiences, such as massage or one-on-one coaching, may be added separately after registration. Every part of the schedule is optional, so you and your partner can choose to participate fully or spend more time resting and enjoying the weekend in your own way. The hope is that you leave feeling refreshed, reconnected, and ready to bring what you have gained back into daily life.
Check in is Friday between 2:00 and 4:00 pm, with the first session beginning at 4:30 pm on Friday. The retreat concludes on Sunday at around 10:30 am. Since The Oaks is about an hour outside San Diego, it is recommended to allow extra time for travel and lunch so you do not feel rushed. For those who want more time, a Thursday early check-in option is also available and includes a pre-retreat session, offering three nights and two full days.
Pre Retreat Session: Reflecting on Your Relationship Available with early check-in, this session gives you and your partner time to pause before the weekend begins. Together, you will reflect on where your relationship stands, recognize what is working well, and identify the areas you want to grow. It is a gentle way to arrive with clarity and shared intention.
Effective Communication: Listening Beyond Words Strong relationships depend on how we listen as much as on how we speak. In this session, you will practice tools that help you hear what your partner truly means, not just the words being said. You will also explore ways to handle tension and repair after conflict while protecting respect and connection. These are simple practices you can bring into everyday conversations at home.
Building Trust and Intimacy: Rekindling Connection Physical intimacy is an important part of a healthy relationship, yet it is often the first thing to fade when life becomes busy or overwhelming. This session creates space for honest conversation about closeness, desire, and connection, and explores how emotional intimacy and physical intimacy support one another. With gentle guidance and practical tools, you will discover ways to reignite passion, deepen closeness, and bring more playfulness back into your relationship.
Shared Vision and Goals: Aligning What Matters Most Daily responsibilities can make it easy to lose sight of the bigger picture. This session invites you to step back and talk about where you are headed together. What do you want your life as a couple to look like? Which values will guide you? Where do your individual hopes meet? You will leave with a clearer sense of direction and encouragement to move toward it together.
Nurturing Fun and Play: Rediscovering Joy Together Fun is not an extra in a relationship. It is essential. This session brings joy back into focus through shared activities that remind you why you enjoy being together. From lighthearted games to creative exercises, you will reconnect with the playfulness that can get lost in the rush of everyday life. Many couples say this is the session that helps them remember not only why they love each other, but why they like each other, too.
This weekend is not only about fixing what feels broken. It is about making space to strengthen what is already good, care for what needs attention, and remember why your relationship matters. Join us for a weekend that supports reconnection, renewal, and fresh energy for the life you are building together.
