As the September new moon arrives, this gentle, slow-paced restorative Yin yoga and Yoga Nidra practice offers a quiet invitation to pause and turn inward. Symbolizing an open space for new beginnings, the new moon is a meaningful moment to plant the seeds of future intentions. During the session, supported opening postures are held with props to help soothe the body, calm the mind, and settle the breath.
The practice then flows into a deeply meditative Yoga Nidra, or conscious sleep, creating space for profound rest and inner listening. Essential oils may be used to enhance the aromatic atmosphere and support the experience. This ritual is an ideal opportunity to reflect on your habits and structures, and gently renew them as you prepare for the coming autumn. Please note that the practice is slow and includes long holds, so warm clothing is recommended. Suitable for both beginners and more experienced practitioners, it is also a lovely occasion to bring writing materials if you wish to record your reflections. Warmly welcome to explore what has been and create space for what is to come.
